Miami-Based RMK MS Shipyard Launches Job Campaign, Seeks Project Managers, Service Leads, and More to Start ASAP

 

The largest and most-capable shipyard on the Miami River, RMK Merrill-Stevens, is seeking to expand its team once again with the addition of new employees through a new career campaign. The campaign was created to meet current and upcoming demand as a growing list of world-renowned yachts and superyachts are scheduled to visit the yard for refit, maintenance, and repair during the upcoming spring, summer, and fall.

 

“We are growing so fast, and we have increased our workforce by almost 20% every year,” says RMK Merrill-Stevens Human Resources Manager Sandra Lozada. Sandra expects RMK MS to maintain or increase its 20% growth rate throughout 2022 and into 2023 with the help of the new campaign. RMK MS will hire approximately 12-15 new employees over the next two months.

 

Among the positions the company is looking to fill is Project Manager, which Sandra calls the “face of the company.” RMK MS Project Managers create synergy within the team to successfully complete projects and oversee each project. Project Managers also work directly with clients to ensure their wants and needs are met while keeping the project on-schedule and on-budget. RMK MS is also looking for Service Leads, Laborers, and more, which may include Mechanics, Carpenters, and Welders.
